Hello,

I'm a teacher at a high school and teach media studies. I teach varying year levels and usually we watch a couple of films a year.

After watching these films the class must analyse one section of it.

I was wondering if there was a way to extract each scene from the DVDs that we view so that only the sequence we view is on the DVD.

What I want to do is make a DVD that has all the sequences we study on it, that way, once we have watched the film we can just watch the DVD that has also that specific section on it.

Also, if one of my students needs to re-view the sequence they can just borrow that DVD, rather than the originals.

Hey supremeruler, you know i have a hard time saying that seeing
that ((((((((((I AM THE SUPREME RULER))))))))))-sorry.

Go here and look thru the tools for a "Ripper"

http://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=7#7

Look for the "Freeware" "Rippers" that have the best ratings,
usually, "DVDDecrypter", "SmartRipper" and "DVDShrink"
will be your best bet. Also, look for a "related" guide for your
tool of choice to walk you thru using the software.

then,,,,,

Get an "Editor", again, "Freeware" if possible, and find a "guide"
to walk you thru your realted project.

I would suggest looking thru the guides by "How To Category"
and investigating what seems easiest to you and what "Tools"
are used.

Maybe someone here has an idea of "all" the tools you will need.

Hope some of this was of use to you, uh supremeruler!!!

Excellent - Thank you! I shall use your combined help to do what it is I need to do. However it will have to be in the weekend. I'll let you know how I get on.
