Excel files slow to open!

Hi,

we have a problem on our network with one PC that takes forever to open excel files on the server (can take up to 3 minutes to open). I have searched and searched to find the same recommendations like deleting temp folders and customising the ".xls" DDE etc.

None have worked so far and i am stumped!

Its an XP machine with Office 2003. machine is about a month old.

any ideas?

even removed office and reinstalled, still no joy!
