I've been hearing about PC Wizard for the longest time and simply threw it on and saw the temp there for the ATI model in the new build. I generally look for those that show board and drive temps as well as cpu since that is always found in each one.
The 2008 version there works on both XP and Vista to cover your needs that way if you plan to dual boot XP later. Everest was a favored program a few years back but now lost to the PC W program that's working there for you.
