We downloaded windows updates manually last week and now every time we restart the computer we have an error message with the synaptics touchpad. In response, we downloaded new drivers for the touchpad, but t didn't help. Also, I tried to go into mouse settings under the control pannel and we are having a "shell32.dll Control_RunDLL "C:\WINDOWS\System32\main.cpl",Mouse" error. I need a solution to this problem. The next time I restart I will post the error message. Please, help this person in need of help!
