Default Error loading operating system

i left my computer running in the other room and came back like an hour later and there was a blue screen with some messages with dumping physical memory listed at the bottom and i guess it had dumped the memory

i thought i had seen that screen before but didnt know really anything

it said to restart my computer so since there was no restart option, i turned it off and back on

when it got to the boot screen, there was an error message that read

error loading operating system

and then nothing else

please help me figure out what happened and what to do

It take it this is XP? Boot to the XP disc and try the "Repair" option.

It could be just a corrupt driver that needs repaired. After that you look at finding bad hardware.
Good Luck...
