I get the following error message every day without exception:

Program Error
ccApp.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created.

Dr Watson Fatal Error
Dr Watson was unable to attach to the process. It is possible that process exited before Dr Watson could attach to it.

Windows 2000 returned error code = 5
Access is denied.

I have windows 2000 prof and Norton Internet Security 2006.
I have re installed NIS but I still keep getting these error message.

Please help me to fix this problem.

well that file is from norton. What other programs do you have runing in the startup tab of msconfig?
 
Where is the startup tab of msconfig? I tried to write msconfig in Run but not possible. Can I find it somewhere else?
 
When I write msconfig in Run it says; it cannot find the file msconfig

The following programs at the startuptab:

Atiptaxx.exe
GwHotkey.exe
mobsync.exe/logon
ccApp.exe
Symantec.......... UsrPrmt.exe
cftmon.exe

Those are all. And thanks again for you kind help.
 
uninstall norton, then make sure ccap and and symnatec are not checked in msconfig. If they are uncheck them and download msconfig cleanup -->http://www.get-in-control.com/msconfig-cleanup/

Open msconfig cleanup, click on select all and remove them except:

Atiptaxx.exe
GwHotkey.exe
mobsync.exe/logon

Then go to C:\Program Files\Norton

or

C:\Program Files\Symantec


And delete the whole folder

Then reboot and reinstall Norton
 
No, unfortunately it didn't help. The error messages keeps coming back, even after doing the msconfig and reinstall.

Any other ideas what I could do to solve this frustrating problem?
