'Error 103'

I get this annoying error after trying to play ANY game that requires a CD in the drive, and NO none of the games that require a CD are cracked, or were obtained in any way other than purchasing the game and installing it legally..

This started about a few days ago, and I don't know the problem..

edit: I have windows XP (media center edition, not that that really matters).

Are you the Admin? That would be the source of this error.

I am an admin on this account.. But this has never happened before and i've played games requiring CD's in the drive countless times without having this error -.-

Well there isnt much on there other than CD Drive errors. So my guess would be that then. Cause Error 103 doesnt show much on Google. Try using a different drive.

I would have to repartition :S. I only have a C: drive partitioned.

I did find this though, the second post is a solution.. can someone help me try and figure out how to do this?

file/directory permissions and reinstalled the software to

How do I do that?

My best guess is they did a check disk. Not sure i will research this and find out.
