Erasing everything off Computer

I closed the thread to prevent it from becoming a mess.
As has been said above, use Boot and Nuke or something similar to wipe the drive securely. Honestly, the odds of someone actually knowing how to retrieve data from a formatted drive are basically nil, but you can rest easy after using it (especially if you have it fully nuke the drive.
As long as you have the serial for XP, you can borrow a XP disk (of the same type) from someone and install using it and your serial.
Of course, you could always sell it sans OS.
