Epson Printer driver

I got a computer in today that has an epson stylus photo rx500. I can install all of the drivers for it fine. When I try to use the scanner it says that it is missing the twain drivers. I have downloaded the latest and greatest from epson but to no avail. I even tried twain drivers for other epson scanners but they don't work either. I have contacted epson but they are slow in responding to my questions about twain drivers. Has anybody here had a similar problem with epson and how did you fix it. I know it is a new style printer from epson but common they should at least have all of the drivers needed to start there products on the initial disks they give you. Well any help provided will be much appreciated.

I have tried their website. I load the driver and when I try to run the program it tells me that I have to load a supported twain driver for the scanner.
