Default entire drive is hidden

on win2k server with sp4, we have one external HD and all i see in it is the folders. there is about 28gb of data in it but none of those data is showing.
i set the windows explorer so that it doesn't hide any file.

any idea how to fix this?

Maybe uncheck "Hide protected operating system files"?
