control Panel>windows firewall

u have 1115 posts and you dont know how to enable the firewall?? ...

Perhaps they are new to XP with SP-2? No need for that comment. Number of post does not correspond to what a person knows or does not know.

Are you getting an error message saying Windows Firewall Can not be started? If so, its spyware related. And I have no idea how to enable it back through windows without doing a repair

hey i tried start --> control panel but could not find the windows firewall

i tried both the category view and the classic view
no dice

in control panel i see

well then you are not running SP2. To enable the firewall before SP2, rght click on your network connection, go a few tabs over I think and enable it there.

found the ICF, i am using SP1

where can i find the Internet Connection Firewall security log file
is it pfirewall.log

in services which ones should i checl
FTP server
IMAP3
IMAP4
SMTP
POP3
remote dektop
HTTPS
Telnet Server

if i leave all of them unchecked, does that mean my firewall is doing nothing?
