Default Emptying the Real Recyling Bin.

I've been searching all over for a way to permanently delete my files.

But all I've been finding are tools that make sure that the file is deleted, when I delete it.

Or software that wipes the hard drive completely, to start from new.

What I want is a software that deletes everything that has been emptied out from the recycling bin, I know that remnants are still roaming around in my drive.

I heard that defragmenting my hard drive might get rid of these floating hidden files, but I want an actual application that does it.

I don't think it's possible except for Cache Cleaner, Evidence Eliminator and defragmenting is about all you can do. I don't think they're ever fully deleted unless you reformat the entire drive to clean up every little bit of information left from use.

The are programs out there that will wipe all the free space on your computer (by wipe I mean over write with junk data and a couple of times). One program is called AEVITA Wipe and Delete. Google it and you can download a trial copy. This will give you a bunch of options to wipe everything the is free on your hard drive.

You are looking for a Eraser program...

Eraser - Free secure data erase tool to wipe files on your hard drive

What they are is basically a program that makes several swipes over the area where the file being deleted is stored. That way the file isnt just removed from windows it is actually wipped right off the hard drive. In essance a file deleted from Windows is just removed from the Folder view. There are applications that can restore them. While these programs fully delete them with no chance of recovery.

you know its vertually impossible to permanantly remove digital data. HDD's store some sort of trace permanantly and the only real way is to destroy the drive, even then there are recovery companies that can still obtain it back. i once watched a "gadget" show on TV where they took a digital image and stored it on a USB pendrive, the drive was then submursed in water, burned, crushed and then frozen and a german data recovery company was still able to obtain the image. No more animal porn for you :P

XDD

I just want to clean out the "real" recycling bin.

I know there's hardcore deleting programs, but I want to wipe out everything from the hidden dump.

And that's crazy how they obtained that file.
