Once a drive is formatted, all the info is completely gone, sorry.

Did you save anything to CD by any chance?

you can send it to a professional recovery center but it will be a little expensive.

Use Google:

P.S. Don't click on the first link. It links to an adult site. Just a warning.

when data is being deleted it aint permantly gone , it just hides in the free space until overwritten with other data , you reinstalled windows so its possible some or all of the data has been overwritten, once overwritten it cannot be recovered , if it wasnt overwritten yet or at least not totally then you can recover it by using data recovery software however its not *safe* to continue using the hd cuz any new data.. well you know what i mean , i suggest take out the hd and connect it to another pc if you got one or take to a friends pc then use some data recovery software , i recommend easy recovery pro/file scavenger/r-studio , do not save the data to the same partition it was deleted from^^

i think he knew that cuz its kinda obvious , my guess is that he forgot about that *important data* for a while and remembered after it was too late

edit this case just shows how important backup is , its always good to have backup on another hd

Yeah i have losts of hd, and have installed win os about 1000 times, i just ****ed it up. it is my fault. I should have backed my important data, and i was in the process. I have found some good progs, and also I have a friend who works for a business that can recover, I hope it goes well. My reserch suggests that the data is there, it has not been written over with zero's yet (well some of it has) back u ppl back up. Not your porn, not your movies, just back up. I am sure there is arule against this but hoe do i get around the xp "this is not cool software thing" no cd changer i can find will fix it, and bf2 is not working, bhahabad.,
