how do you do it in windows 3.11 in a 486 system?

basically i want the OS to load automatically...without having to type in DOS

Why are you playing with Win 3.1? There is no educational value in playing with that OS.

well,..lets just say that its for the simple reason that it was my very first computer/OS...and that it was gathering dust in the garage when i resently revived the dam thing...changed the cmos battery..and cleaned everything. i found the OS including Word 6 and Excel 5 in P2P...only problem was that,..word 6 is totally in french and excel is in spanish.

Load HIMEM.SYS
Command $P
Stacks=40
Files=40
C:\windows\msdx.exe/CDROM
Win <-----------Command you need to enter here

thanks for the help micro!!!!
