DVD Shrink

I'm having some problems with DVD shrink. I've been trying to backup some newer movies, Troy, Alien VS Predator, and a couple other ones, and I keep having problems, Mostly Cycle Redundency Errors. The disk are all new and scratch free. I can back up older movies just fine, like LOFTR and Collateral. I was just wondering if anybody else has expierence any problems like this recently with Shrink.

Could be a number of things, old writer, bad original dvds, wrong dvd media for burner, etc. Try switching from DMA to PIO.

I stop using shrink for this reason. I figure that there was some new kind of protection out.

I would just rip the movie vobs with smartripper and use ifoedit to create new .ifo and .bup files. then, I would shrink it with shrink or Instant copy if I need too.

DVD shrink will do the majority of movies I throw at it, but in this case (cyclic redundancy errors), I use DVD Decryptor to backup the file (because it's protected), then DVD Shrink to burn it to disk.
