I converted a WMV file to DVD. Last time I did it it gave me VOB files and stuff that was before I got VLC. Now it gave me a bunch of VLC media files and DVD movie files and Backup File of the IFO

define your question better I don't understand you and from the lack of replies I doubt others understand as well.

Usually when I convert video files to DVD it gives me a bunch of VOB and other wierd file types that I would burn to a DVD right?

Now that I have VLC Media Player... it does NOT give me VOB files it gives me VLC Media Files?

Yes, thats correct...you would normally burn the VOB files to a DVD .

The VLC file extention seems to belong to a program called...ACUCOBOL-GT. Which looks to me like some sort compiler for developing app's. Here's their web page www.acucorp.com
