Default dvd copy on CD-Rs

I was reading something about this dvd burning program.
It allows you to rip and burn dvds into CD-Rs. I forgot what the name of that program was.

I don't know if it changes the format or if it allow you to play those cds on a regular dvd player.

does anyone knows anything about this?

it will prob change the format to vcd or s-vcd. i tried this with downloading movies and you have to have a special dvd player that plays those formats. The movies were really bad quality and many times did not burn right. your best bet is to get a cheap dvd burner and use the programs anydvd for the css encryption and clone dvd for burning the movie.
