Default duplicate files

i'd like to remove my (unending) dup files. problem: how do i decide on deletion? my cleaning programs are - jv16 and reg cleaner. please advise

Ashampoo Winoptimizer is a good app. Not sure if i spelled it right.

Just delete older files but be careful deleting DLLs

Yea, i'd just delete the older of the files, but some weird programmers out there put some of their support files in the same directory as their programs, and that's how it's linked in the coding, so before deleting them i'd usually make a test folder and move the file in there. Then start the program, if all is well, just go ahead and delete the folder with the file...

Honestly I wouldnt go arbitrarily deleting files on your hard drive, you could easily screw up, use software that is made to do it, that way nothing needed is removed.
