Default dumb question....but i cant figure it out

i have checked and im probably overlooking it but how can i have windows media player stop starting with windows?

i didnt know it would startup with Windows but i cant find an option to stop it. Check if you have set it as a scheduled task when Windows boots otherwise use msconfig to disable it starting up.

Or you sould look for a shortcut to it in your startup folder...

its not a scheduled task and i did not see it in my startup folder

Start -> Run -> msconfig.

Go to the start up tab and look for windows media player.
If its there uncheck the box.
