Dub Tee Eff.... iTunes 8.0 no workey w XP 64b??

What gives?/ everything I've read says that you need 7.6 or later to run with 64 Bit.. I DL'd the 8.0 from the iTunes site and it doesn't want to cooperate..

Ideas??

yeah, Apple has been sloppy with iTunes and XP x64.

There isn't actually very much they need to do to make it work in XP x64 properly; it would take all of about 5 minutes work. They just haven't done it.

I have been able to get a version of itunes working in XP x64 (it's my main OS), I can't remember the exact version, but it was 7 point something.
I used Orca (to modify the .msi installer) and WinRAR (to extract the .msi installers from the .exe) to do it

Can't you use Media Monkey for iPod?

not sure. I know a lot of ipod models can be synced using different programs. Though what I did was set-up a virtual machine with XP 32, and use iTunes in that to sync my ipod.
