I know dual OS on different drives is very common. But can I have win 98 on my C drive (1 HD) and win XP on my D (2nd HD)? Because I am having some booting error occuring. Does XP has to be on my C drive? Thanks
You will need to boot up to Win98 and insert the XP CD, when it asks you whether you want to upgrade, click No. About 2 menu screens later, you need to look for an "advanced" option where you can direct the fresh installation of XP onto a separate partition or disk.
