well, if your gonna get dual monitors, make sure thier good moniters, like 20+ inchers for both. But to answer the main question, if you do do the extended desktop, and you play a dvd on both screens, it'll be split in half by it going to the next screen, and it would be out of proportion. And make sure that thier the same size or you'll have resolution issues.
