I just upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit from Vista 32-bit. I had Vista on hard drive A, however I installed W7 on hard drive B since I would have to do a clean install anyway. Now, when I change my boot priority to drive B it tells me to "Reboot and change boot priority or insert CD/DVD media to boot from." So basically, right now my boot priority is my old drive with Vista and every time my computer starts up it asks me if I wish to launch W7 or Vista. Why can't I change my boot drive to be drive B?

Mess with the jumpers on the drives or put them to cable select and place them in the proper location.

or are these SATA drives?

Because the boot information is on Drive A. The boot information is always stored on the first parition of the first hard drive. So by changing the boot priority to Drive B you have to recreate the Boot information on that drive in order to boot properly.

Insert the Win7 DVD and use the Repair my PC option and the Startup Repair.
