Well, I wanted to put XP Pro on a separate partition I successfully made through Vista, however, I messed around with the Vista primary partition's boot file, so now I can't boot Vista. When I figured that out, I deleted the XP Pro partition, and I still cannot boot Vista. If I create a partition and install XP Pro again, can I run some of the BCD apps while under XP Pro to recover the correct boot list (as well as a successful dual-booting system)?

Thank you.

probably better to reformat the harddrive and install xp first then vista on a separate partition.

Boot from the Vista dvd, and look for some sort of option to repair boot files. If that doesn't work, maybe you could boot from your xp cd, go into recovery console, and run the fixmbr command?
