dual boot annoyance

hello, have a little problem hope you can help me.

i have done a fresh install of win xp pro on my computer but before it had win xp home. i did a full format and clean install but it still seems to remember that it had home on it and when it starts up it asks me which one i want to boot either home or pro. obviously i want professional but i dont want to have to choose this option everytime i switch on my computer. i think to get around this i have to change some boot.ini file but im not exactly sure what to do. i have searched on previous posts but cant seem to find anything on this.

any help would be gratefully appreciated

by the way the computer is a compaq presario

Right click on my computer and chose properties/Advanced/Startup and Recovery settings then chose edit.Just remove the line with XP home in it and save.
