I've just built a AMD Athlon 64 3400+ chip based system with an MSI K8T Neo2 mainboard and connected all my old peripherals, and after clearing the CMOS, Linux Fedora Core 3 booted fine from Grub, but Windows XP gave a blank screen. Booting from the CD further gave the message "Setup is inspecting your hardware's configuration" and then went to a blank screen and remained there. Also, my CD-RW (Philips PCRW3210) is excessively slow in Linux and no sound is produced on music CDs. Has anyone else seen similar problems in a similar system? Any recommendations?
