Hi, My spybot keeps finding something called a DSO exploit. I have no idea what this is or what it means, spybot says it removes it but is there every time it scans. Is this some kind of security risk thing or what? Do I need to be concerned about it? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Tom

I have the same problem, only spybot finds it, and there are always 5 instances of it each time, no more, no less. I tried ad-aware and it never found it, I immunized with spybot, that didn't help, I went to recovery on spybot and removed the backup of DSO and that didn't help. So, what on earth is this thing?

Hi again, This is what spybot says about the DSO on mine, HKEY_USERS\DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Internet Settings\Z, this is way over my head. Tom

If you are not getting any spyware popups like windows messenger etc. don't worry about it.

if you are and want to tackle the registry, let me know

The computer don't seem to be doing anything out of the ordinary that I have noticed, so I guess I won't worry about it then. Tom
