Driver issue

Well, my ram finally arrived, so i have built my computer! Thanks a lot to the people who helped, especially PP
But i have one last issue: my computer is trying to find 'sm bus controller', which i presume is the connectors on the back of the motherboard (as in the back of the case) since my ethernet cable wont connect.

I inserted the motherboard disk when it asked for the driver disk, but it is just searching endlessly.

Did i use the wrong disk, or us there a problem?

Okay, fixed that, just a SATA cable problem.

But i still have a problem. When i turn my computer on, it works until it reaches the windows logo, then my monitor can't connect. I presume it is changing the resolution without my permission. I can run in safe mode perfectly fine, which is what i am on now, but i really need to be able to connect properly.
