Default Driver Install Error

Everytime I try to install the latest ATI Driver I get this error:



Ever since ive had that error, my screen also blacks out for 1-2 seconds before loading up my desktop.

Help me someone

I'm pretty sure that's a virus.

Lsass.exe has never done anything like that before during installs.

Either a virus or Windows XP is corrupted.

that cant be a virus attack, it was a blaster worm which initiated a shutdown call from RPC. but that was patched nicely in SP2.

So i donn think its a virus, but you should always give it a check, cause no driver installation will try to shutdown this way..

and if u want to stop this shutdown message u can do the following in those 60 secs of death

goto Start>run>cmd

type shutdown -a

and it will abort ur system shutdown for that time..

good luck and after performing a virus check and cleaning ur drivers completely with some driver clean utility try installin drivers once again and preferbly download the latest ver. of drivers
