Personally I recommend you try to find the drivers on your own if you can, but not everything can be found, especially if its dead.
Use the driverguide forum and search there for what you are looking for, yes they have their own official tool as well, which is free, but even it will get it wrong sometimes.
Which version of XP are running and which sp is currently installed, windows xp sp3 will mostly get it right the first time when looking for drivers and software updates for your computer.

Driver upgrade for what? Some of them don't do it for every device. Just look on the manufacture's site. That will tell if it is up to date.
But in my experience in drivers, If their is nothing wrong, don't fix it. Only graphics upgrades are worth it. It allows you to play games better.
