Is there some way to figure out exactly why a driver makes a computer crash?
I have an HP Z230 workstation, standard out-of-the-box, running Windows 7 Enterprise. Tried to set it up with dual-monitors, and noticed it only had the basic vga graphics driver. Installed the new driver--I have done this with several of these same machines, using this same driver--but then Windows won't start.
I know it's the driver, and I know that I can probably fix this if I just reimage the machine, but is there some way to figure out what has gone wrong? I'm really just more curious at this point. Like I said, I've done this same procedure many times, and have never had any problems before this.
