Download speed.

I have 2 computers that use DSL prodided by verizon. One machine is a win98 SE OS and the other is a win 2000 server OS. On the 98 machine my download speed is 478 kilo per second and the other machine is 528 kilo per second. Is that about right or should I be getting better results?

What part of the day ?
What and When are you downloading ?

Seems low to me. I get a max of 3mb sec with zoomtown.

I am running them in the early evening at home 5:30 PM.

That would explain it.
now from what i have experienced, your speeds are somewhat above the normal. ( for dsl atleast )

I run on cable and get about an average of 700 +
but, then again i have 4 other machines pulling data...
