When I get through downloading something and then go to run the executable I get the following error

"windows can't access the specified device, path, or file- you don't have appropriate permissions to access the item."

What is causing this and how do I fix it?

What OS are you using? What type of account are you downloading this with and what type are you trying to run it with?

Have you tried moving it to another location then trying to run it?

Do you download to a specific spot or just the default location? We need more info to be able to help. Just saying you cant execute a downloaded file can mean thousands of things.
