DOS problem

Ei dis cud be an odd question since DOS is not that so used my question is I nid to open a folder in DOS wid spaces the folder name is Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition if i type [drive]:\cd Microsoft Windows ..... etc it says too many parameters.. mayb its bcoz of the spaces.... if i type dir it displays Microso6 but if i type that it will say invalid blah blah blah how do i open it???

use the short name E.g. for C:\ program files\ use c:\progra~1\

The dir listing should be what you need to type so

[drive]:/cd microso6

usually it defaults to ~1 after 6 digits so also Try

[drive]:/cd micros~1

 

[bla!!]

just put everything in quotes

cd "c:\program files"

cd "c:\program files"

Thats what occured to me originally but I don't think that works with older versions

Yeah that doesn't work in 98 "DOS"
