I have two clients in a large network that receive "domain controller could not be found" error when logging on. The Novell portion logs on and sees its own network resources just fine, to include WAN resources. The two clients use Win 2K Pro boxes. I've unjoined and rejoined the domain, disabled and enabled the NIC in each. I'm wondering if perhaps re-initializing the router for that area might be the fix. Any suggestions?

I have seen this error MANY MANY times.
Its always fixed by different things.
Usually the rejoining of the domain works...
Did you get an error while joining it to the domain ?
Its only 2 machines that are having this problem ?

A good test : ( testing available Ip's )
Shut down a connected working machine.
Try to login again with an erroring machine.

Another Test :
Login ( locally) with one of these machines and ping your DC's.

Because its 2 machines that are having the same issue, You can rule out hardware by about 93%

Problem solved. Our erstwhile network team neglected to release enough IP addresses....argh!
