Does this software exist?
Maybe I have a little ADD or something, but I can't stand the recent barrage of website with animated advertisements. They're all really colorful, have lots of movement, and are impossible for me to ignore when I'm trying to conentrate on a page of text. I can turn off the graphics, but then I often end up losing important graphics that I actually wanted.
So, I'm lookiong for one of two things: The nicest would be a program that looks at the source code for any given image and then, like a spam filter, does its best to determine if it's an add or a real image. If it's an ad, it doesn't load it.
Less desirable but ultimately effective would be a program that can draw boxes all over your screen. Say I come accross an annoying ad while trying to read. I just hold down (for example) the alt key and then use the mouse and it draws a big black box over the ad, just as if I were using paint. When I hit cntrl, all the boxes disappear. It's a cheap workaround, but a work around none the less.
ANything like either of these exist?
