Does software affect 3DMark scores?

Quick question, will software affect my 3DMark scores? Just curious as my original scoring was done fresh after a reformat and just wondering if now, a number of month and much installations later will that affect the performance i get with new testing on new hardware?

Not the software itself. But the applications you have running and the processes you have running will most definitely affect it.

no, just the stuff you have running. not everything you have installed. Why would you reformat?

Yesh. Just go into the Task Manager and shut down all the stuff from there. Dotn format and reinstall. That isnt worth it. Not to get a good 3DMark score. That just isnt worth it.

disable all in the startup tab
much easier than a reformat.
