Do You Beleive in Ram Clearers???

I have Ram XP Pro 1.40 which was one of pcwords best utilities what do you think aboput it or other Ram Clearers??? And how about Win Patrol is that good???

Wouldnt bother using them. Waste of space in my opinion. The progs say they release the ram, then it goes right back to where it started most of the time. You want to keep your ram at a minimal usage? Add more ram and keep programs from running in the background that shouldnt be running and increase your vm accordingly to the size of your hdd.

i dont like ram clearers because afterwards it just needs to load more stuff from hard disk anyway, what i do is delete all the prefetch files every so often and that seems to speed things up.

cacheman seems to work reasonably well for me, I still don't beleive in them though. I would rather reboot

I would just close some programs or services you don't use/need (like messenger, indexing, language bar, machine debug manager)

i use Rambooster its help a little wen the hole comp slows down i run it and it usally clears some ram
