DNS or WINS?

I have a Win2K Server box on which I'm about to set up a DHCP server to replace the router DHCP. I'm also wanting to install either DNS or WINS, but I'm really not sure which I should install, or if I should install both. I'm fairly certain that there is at least one pre-Win2K box in the network. Any suggestions?

You should use DNS, WINS is a technology being phased out. As for your Pre-Win2K machines, 2K server can still accommodates for old Netbios names so there is no need to worry its all backwards compatible.
