is that information that is displayed when you do ipconfig /displaydns stored in the host file?

"Naming them would either make it clear that Linux is not infringing at all (which is quite possible, especially if the patents are bad), or would make it possible to avoid infringing by coding around whatever silly thing they claim,"

"So the whole 'We have a list and we're not telling you' should tell you something. Don't you think that if Microsoft actually had some really foolproof patent, they'd just tell us and go, 'nyaah, nyaah, nyaah!'?"

/displaydns : Displays the contents of the DNS client resolver cache, which includes both entries preloaded from the local Hosts file and any recently obtained resource records for name queries resolved by the computer. The DNS Client service uses this information to resolve frequently queried names quickly, before querying its configured DNS servers.

thanks for the reply

i have got zone alarm on my machine, when i did ipconfig /displaydns, i got a zonealarm popup alert, does this mean that the cache exsists on an external machine.

hey i have been going to bbc.co.uk a lot but i dont see the entry for the bbc.co.uk domain here?

disable zone alarm and try again.

try
ipconfig /flushdns
to flush the cache then visit the site and run /displaydns
