Default Disk partition?

Ok,
to start off I need a partition creator that i can boot from. it can't be a floppy disk, must be a cd. I need it to be able to create a new partition without erasing the info on the hard drive. Does anyone know what software i need to achieve this?
Thanks

GParted LiveCD. GParted can resize, move and create partitions. Download the iso and burn to CD.
