Disk Defragmentors?

I have to lean toward Gurusan's arguement on this. I run XP/vista/Win7. I install and uninstall software almost daily. I have yet to even bother to install a single defrag program or run the one built into Windows. (Vista and Win7 do it but XP does not)

I have yet to see any performance loss cause of this, i have yet to see any issues with anything i do.

Add into that the Beta Software i run constantly, i dont see a point to running Defrags. SATA drives are already fast. by defragging you will gain at most a few milliseconds. Something that isnt even measurable by the human eye.

So unless your highly OCD and it bugs you to think about it, it isnt worth it. I have yet to see any real gain from running a constant defrag with any SATA drives.
