Discolored Boot Screens

Hey guys not sure exactly where to categorize this post but here it goes. Anytime i try to change my boot screen with BOOTXP 2.50
I get a Discolored Boot every single time. I was wondering if its a Kernel.dll file that i can maybe change? DL something? REplace something? i dunno. My old computer had no problems with different boot screens. I have an ATI RADEON 9800 128 video card, perhaps with that video card the graphic drivers dont kick in at boot time.?. Anyway, Any suggestions I will gladly appreciate I hate having a normal boot screen. I make my own

actually i've seen this before. most of the time it is like that is before boot screens run in 256 color mode i think and maybe the pics you have are 16 or 32. try using a black and white bootscreen.
