Hi

this is the problem i want to buy WoW but my PC cant install directx 9.0b/c i have installed though 9.0a my geforce GTS/PRO supports 9.0c.
However when i go to install directx 9.0c the message comes up saying that it has not passed windows logo test. Now this maybe because my nvidia chip's driver is not WHQL however i downloaded the latest driver which is WHQL but when installing it a message appeared saying that this had not passed windows logo test ( this is the same for all the other drivers on the nvidia website-i tried them all).
I installed it anyway.

All this time im thinking how come windows allowed me to install directx9.0a and not 9.0c!
also i am having trouble getting the new driver that i downloaded to be the driver in use (which file to put it in and such). im sure this problem will not present a challenge to you PC masters.

My dxdiag is thus:
p.s my LAN network has been closed (after my other pc broke)

P.s. i have installed nvidia drivers and nvidis stereo drivers for xp.

Thank for your help.

Try redownloading the 9.0c installer/redistributable, if thats what you are using. Perhaps the new Nvidia drvers aren't on your current installer. Actually, I heard from a fairly knowledgeable friend that Nvidia's latest drivers have serious issues. Try downgrading to the version that came with your card or the one provided by your PC manufacturer. I DX setup still complains, try uninstalling your display driver completely and letting it run with the default XP driver. Install DX then your Nvidia Driver. I'm not too knowlegable with Direct X and don't know if it would complain after intall, but my hope is not. Try that, then complain to Nvidia.
