So I have my new computer up and running with vista home premium 64 on it. Do i already have dx10 on it or do I need to update it? I looked on microsoft but could only find crud for dx9.0c. thanks

Vista ships with DX10 and is currently only available for Vista.

That is a false statement. The "trick" to get DX10 on XP is nothing. IT allows you to get DX10 installed in a expiramental enviroment only. It can not be used for games or any real purposes other than running a few test situations thru another program that emulates DX10.

It is not true DX10 and it is not fully functional.
