DirectX 9 problems

ok, I've had this problem for a long time. Under Everest it says directsound3d and creative eax are not supported, causing some games to lose fps and audio stuttering. And under my audio card program it says I have Directx 9b.

I've tried installing 9c and it wont let me, I click install and it just says its finished installing, and isnt actually installed. I can't rollback to Directx 8.1 and reinstall 9c because I don't have my windows xp cd. I want to know if there is a way I can still rollback or uninstall directx so I can install a fresh version of 9c.

And by the way I have Windows XP Professional, SP 2.

Try running this. It is a DX uninstaller. From there try and install DX9c and see if it helps any.
