DirectX 8 on XP

I think that you have dx8 on your system but I think somehow its corrupt.and when you try to install it it is reading to the corrupt files.thats why it goes so fast.If you can go into help and try and troubleshoot the problem.And you can also use a utility program to clean out any unused files in your regestry like norton utilities.Not sure if it will help but it might.Pat S.
