Direct X version

I need to know which version of Direct X sits on my pc. I thought I knew how to locate the info but apparently I don't. Please could provide this info. Thanks

I located the info. Start->run-> (typed "dxdiag") Thanks

to find out your version of directx,

go to start -> run -> type "dxdiag"
