I want to play a DVD in WMP but it pops up with "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a problem occurred with digital copyright protection." Anyway I updated the firmware because this is drive is off my sisters HP. The drive model is: HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4481B made by Hitachi(?). Could anyone just give me a way to get past this copright protection thing?

use some other player

True......

you have to figure out where you download it (the song) from (maybe napster) and download the rights again. burn it as an audio cd and rip it back as mp3

Could you give me a link, I googled it and came up with a site that sold DVD players that were regionless(?) Thanks.

That works and it plays now, but with no sound. Any ideas on that? Yes I did the obvious sound level, ect. WMP says my audio decoder is a Nero Audio Decoder Filter Version:1.0.3.86.
