My keyboard has this button that can allow Windows to shut down. However, when I use this button, Windows says that it is "Shutting down", but it is different from shutting down the regular way (Start, Turn Off Computer, Shut down...). Somehow, when I push the button on my keyboard, Windows does not log off and doesn't play that XP logoff sound. Another thing is that even after shutting off, my keyboard is still "on". I can tell because the numlock key remains on after the shut down.
Do you think it's ok for me to shut down that computer this way?
What is the difference?
